The island of Jeju presents a very different side to South Korea – one of natural wonders that are off the beaten tourist track. With many of the most serene sites in the area visited, this quick extension is a relaxing way to end your time in the region.
This morning you will be picked up and transferred to the domestic airport where you will fly to Jeju. Upon arrival you will have a break for lunch before embarking on a half day tour of Jeju, beginning with the Seongsan Crater. This 182m high tuff cone contains its own delicate ecosystem and is a true wonder. Next you will visit Seopjikoji, a quaint seaside location whose dramatic landscape has formed the backdrop for many local TV shows. You will then be transferred to your hotel for check in and the remainder of the day is at leisure.
Today is devoted to the stunning natural attractions of this beautiful area, beginning with the stunning Cheonjeyeon waterfall colloquially known as “The Pond of God.” This beautiful area comprises three sections each harbouring their own secrets. A visit to Yeomiji Botanical Garden is next. Said to be the best in Asia, the indoor garden contains approximately 2000 rare plants. There is also a wonderful view of Hallasan Mountain the coast and Marado Island from the 38m high observation tower. The final stop today is Yongmeori Cliff, famed for resembling a dragon diving into the water, and the home of the renowned female divers.
Following breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Seoul and your own plans.
